History of Kite Flying

Imagine flying a kite made of silk and bamboo. That’s what the ancient Chinese used to make their first kites over 3000 years ago. Originating as mythical and religious, kite flying was later used for scientific experiments. From China, kite flying spread throughout Asia to Europe and then to the Americas and Australia. Kite flying has been used for meteorologic research, travel, and for warfare.

Today, kite flying has become one of the biggest hobbies throughout the world providing fun for children of all ages. Spreading the joy of this hobby, B and C Creations offers a wide variety of kites for beginners through advanced fliers and we plan to continue this tradition of fun kite flying into the future.

  2. Enjoy the beautiful weather while kite flying. You are not Ben Franklin, so don’t try flying your kite during a thunderstorm.
  3. Don’t fly your kite over roads, highways, or near airports. Our kites are strong, but really don’t stand a chance against motor vehicles.
  4. Beware of spectators. When stunt kite flying, don’t fly over people or animals.
  5. Make it a family event. Children should always be supervised when flying a kite.
